Only three simple ingredients for making the best fresh squeezed lemonade ever!
Supplies
2lbslemonsabout 6 whole lemons or enough lemons for 1 cup of lemon juice
1cupsugar
4cupswater
Instructions
Wash the lemons in cool water and dry them.
(Optional) Zest 2 lemons.
Place a strainer over a bowl and squeeze lemons. Try to get about 1 cup of lemon juice.
Dissolve 1 cup of sugar in 2 cups of warm water.
Combine the lemon zest, lemon juice, sugar water, and 2 cups of cold water in a pitcher. Add ice if drinking right away. Refrigerate immediately.
Notes
*We like using a sugar substitute like Stevia to skip the step where you have to dissolve the sugar.***Recipe can be easily doubled or tripled for a larger batch.
